Stripe Tease

Today, in the fashion realm the way I see it has two paradigm shifts. You have the brands like Chloe and Gucci to name a few diving into patterns and prints that take us a little back in time yet gives a modern twist and brands like Vetements that has introduced all of us to oversized fashion. In any case print on print has been a big win this season. You have seen it on all the big league runways and local fashionistas donning it into interesting street style. While the options to play with prints are numerous here is something that I was intrigued in trying out for quite some time.

Stripes. Yes, this staple in our wardrobe. I am sure each and every one of us own one. As far as horizontal stripes go it is a different story altogether. Today what I have come up with are two very different looks basing on one statement pin stripe pants. I wanted to go a little out of the box and hence the eccentric streak to this style. Lets go to look one.

This is a really interesting set of pants that I picked up from ‘Splash’. I love this store for a lot of quirky clothing they have. When I thought about this pair of pants for my blog, first thing that came up my head was a ‘stripe on stripe’ look. I paired this casual shirt which I would other wise wear on a ‘Friday’ at work.

To tie up this look together I used this corset belt which is a very in thing thanks to Kylie Jenner and finished the look with a pair of black ankle strap stilettos.

I stuck to minimal and dainty accessories. A pair of hoops that makes you look instantly sexy and a nude and beige make up for the eyes. The best part about this look is, any body type can wear this and feel great as this corset will give a shapely look.

For my second look I flicked my husband’s blazer. YES. Did I mention oversized blazers can be such  great fashion statement? You can simply wear it as a dress or wear it like the the way I did below.

You can carry this off with a waist belt like this one I picked up from Koovs by the brand ‘Style Fiesta’. All I did was swap the make up giving it a smokey tinge and berry lips. I also went for a quick swap with my neck tie around choker which I got from ‘Pipa Bella’. Honestly, some of the best chokers I own are from them.

As you can see the hero of this post are the pin stripe pants. I will create a separate post on how to don or style a blazer. You can wear this style to any high end party or lose the pants change to a pair of denim shorts and go for a night out.
